Yeah, I know, this is a promotional post, which I’ve said I’ll keep to a minimum here on the blog. BUT! This giveaway is pretty sweet, and I didn’t want you to miss out. So:
Last week, I released Saltmeadow, a new shawl pattern in Shibui Knits Reed and Lunar. I’m pretty pleased with how this one turned out: lovely, drapey, lineny goodness, perfect for summer knitting, with a shot of glowing merino/silk at the edges.
The people at Shibui liked Saltmeadow so much, they asked if I’d like to do a giveaway for the design on Instagram, and here we are: the #mySaltmeadow yarn + pattern giveaway. One lucky knitter will win the yarn to make their own Saltmeadow—that’s 7 skeins of Reed and 1 skein of Lunar, in your choice of colours—and a PDF copy of the pattern. Plus, Shibui Knits has kindly said they’ll ship the yarn to you even if you don’t live in the US, so international entries are welcome! Here’s how you enter:
- Head over here to the giveaway post on Instagram.
- Like the photo.
- Tell me in the Instagram comments what colours your Saltmeadow would be. (Here are the colours for Reed and for Lunar to help you decide.)
For an extra chance to win, follow both @eelliottknits and @shibuiknits on Instagram.
Already have the pattern? Then I’ll give you a pattern of your choice from my Ravelry store. One winner will be selected at random from the entries. This giveaway is open from now until noon CDT on June 2. You must be 18 years of age or older to enter. Private accounts are fine, but no giveaway accounts, please. Instagram is not in any way involved in or responsible for this giveaway.
So go on, give it a try, and this could be your summer knitting.

Lovely colors! Curious: Where was the photo taken?
Thank you! Gale Zucker took the photos; I’m pretty sure they were shot in coastal Connecticut.
Lovely pattern, I have been to look at yarn and Instagram and so am all set, signed up everywhere for everything. Now, to win. 🙂
Thank you! I saw your entry this morning; Ash and Fjord would be such a great combination–summery and a bit nautical, makes me think of the ocean on a cloudy day. Best of luck!
Thanks! I love those colors together, but then there are the blues! I love the combo that the sample aas knit in as well. 😉
