Patterns In Print

A simple slipped stitch rib gives a cushy hat that suits both men and women, and works in a variety of yarns. The pattern includes instructions for worsted and Aran weight, with two styles of crown decreases: a visually strong, 3 stitch wide decrease, and a more subtle decrease with a 1 stitch wide line. The hat is worked in the round from the bottom up.

Ullared Cushion

Stranded colourwork cushion cover with button side closure, based on traditional Swedish colourwork patterns. The cushion is worked in the round to the button band, then the band is worked flat in corrugated rib, and the other side is seamed.

Herringbone Mosaic Cowl

Colourwork without the work! Mosaic knit cowl worked in the round in a herringbone slipped-stitch pattern, with I-cord cast on and bind off. The magazine includes my tutorial on the mosaic knitting technique.
